Family life suddenly changed over the past fifty years.
I remember when my dad would get home from work at 5:30.
Within a few minutes, my dad, older brother, two sisters and I would sit down to eat
delicious dinner that my mom had prepared.
In our house we weren't allowed to watch TV while eating.
It was a time to talk about our day.
After dinner, my sister wash dishes. I was responsible for drying them.
Everyone had a job of some kind no matter what their age.

家族生活はここ50年で突然変化しました。
私が覚えているのは、父親は5:30に仕事から帰宅したときには
父、兄、2人の妹と私は、母の用意してくれた美味しい夕食を食べるために食卓につきました。
私の家では、食事の間はテレビを観ることは許されておらず、
それぞれの1日について話をする時間でした。
夕食の後、妹は食器洗いをします。私の役割はそれを拭くこと。
何歳だろうが、何かしらの手伝いをしていました。
