So every week I’ll be picking each NFL game. I’ll do the games with a straight up pick, and I’ll do it with the spread. For those of you who don’t know how the spread works, I’m sorry, I’m not here to teach, go Google it or some shit. Here we go.
Baltimore at Denver (-9.5): Straight: Denver Spread: Baltimore
I think with all the emotions of opening night, the veteran squad led by Peyton Manning will just be more ready to come out firing from the start,
Atlanta at New Orleans (-3.5): Straight: New Orleans Spread: New Orleans
It’s the Superdome, Week 1, that fan base will be fired up to have Sean Payton back and forget about last season’s embarassment, and the Saints will come out of this one showing the league they’re back.
New England at Buffalo (+10.5): Straight: New England Spread: New England
Buffalo is starting a rookie either way in game 1, either Jeff Tuel or E.J. Manuel. They’ll be dueling the great Tom Brady, sorry Buffalo, no shot.
Cincinnati at Chicago (-3.5): Straight: Chicago Spread: Chicago
I struggled with this pick all morning. I like what Chicago has done to improve, but the offensive line needs to gel together a bit more before facing Geno Atkins. Screw it, I’m taking Chicago.
Miami at Cleveland (-0.5): Straight: Cleveland Spread: Cleveland
Many people are high on the Dolphins, but I’m not one of them, I just don’t see what’s so special about them. I see Trent Richardson’s coming out party Week 1.
Minnesota at Detroit (-4.5): Straight: Detroit Spread: Minnesota
This is gonna be one of the closer games of the weekend. Peterson can rush for 150 and 2 TDs, but I don’t think the Vikings have an answer for Megatron and newly acquired Reggie Bush, Detroit by a field goal.
