Oh, yeah! SUPER easy to do it myself! They NEVER ASKED! I just dropped it off and went back 2 days later when they called and said it was done. She handed me the bill for like $120! I was like "WHAT!?!?!?!"

Of course the lady at the counter had NO IDEA what was fixed or anything. I had to call back later once the guys were back from lunch break to talk to them and see what they did.

I also called there a few weeks ago to ask about used embroidery machines. She said the cheapest USED was $500. I said I was looking to spend more like $300-400. She LAUGHED! I could not believe how RUDE she was! I said I could get a brand new Brother SE 400 from Walmart for $368. She said "Well, you get what you pay for."

I've never had a sewing machine fatally break, so I pretty much just keep them! An all-metal machine is worth repairing, they'll last forever if you take care of them. Some places will take sewing machines for recycling, or scrap if they're mostly metal.

I guess refrigeration machine I don't see what the original cost has to do with how much I'm willing to pay to fix a good machine. I do have a really good sewing machine shop, and a good relationship with the owners, so they don't try to add on unnecessary services and they know what I can do myself. They only charge $35 for routine cleaning and oiling, and will apply that fee towards any repairs they find while cleaning. Machinery They always call before making repairs or ordering parts. If you have any concerns about your own health or the health of your child, you should always consult with a physician or other healthcare professional.
