This adidas superstar 2 sale has a redesigned upper, which is now lighter and more breathable. As a result, your foot will definitely feel cool and comfortable. I did so test them on the road, and I do not recommend running any road races in them. The deep lugs made it almost impossible to connect with the road, and I am certain that any consistent road running would shred the V-teeth. Do not shy away from running a short distance on the road, but these shoes are most definitely best suited for the trail. A plush heel collar and language are combined with flat laces and reinforced eyelets to create the feeling of a soft but secure fit, and I surely could run in this shoe out of the box without any rubbing or blisters. First and foremost, these shoes continue to hold up crazy well. When i have lamented before, I am a strong heel striker and my shoes tend to wear out from back to front. I typically don’t do a lot of road running, mainly due to my desire to get out into nature on the trails but I can’t always do that so i wanted to try a road shoe that would resemble the satisfaction of trail running but without the nature! My initial first impression was how attractive the blue version was and after running in it, how much toe box room there was, which resembles closely my trail shoes. The toe box doesn’t rub my toes on the top or along side it but did actually give my feet some good breathing room and kept them cool and dry as well with the RUNDRY inetrior.
Even with my funky running form, the heel of the Adidas superstar 2’s is still going strong. Like I said earlier this shoe is a workhorse, durable, light, and receptive. This shoe will be a challenger for BITR best in gear 2014. I can recommend this shoe to any jogger at any level. I love this shoe. I definitely need the V-teeth to keep my feet planted on the trail. The traction provided is unmatched and have made trail running more enjoyable as I have been given more freedom to take bigger risks on the trail. The deep 4. 5 mm lugs do make these less than desirable road running shoes. Another improvement of note is that Saucony has left the overlays from the lateral, pinky toe, side of the upper. In all honesty, these are some of the more comfortable running shoes I have worn. They cushion and hold tight in all the right spots. A simple and quick lace-up seems to yield an appropriate fit when running. Here are some of my initial impressions from my first post:

Probably at least partially because I am used to them by now, but I really enjoy the direction they make my feet feel. And by that i mean NOT feel. I have felt ZERO foot pain, aches, or really any new blistered areas. That’s about as solid as you can get.
