Review - Prince of Thorns by Mark Lawrence. I came across Prince Of Thorns after seeing it on Book Monkey's Blog and decided to check it out. This book has been getting a lot of varied reviews since it first came. Cover of "Prince of Thorns" by Mark Lawrence Goodreads⋅Amazon.co.uk. As usual I'm late to the party that is Prince of Thorns, but now that I've read the bloody tale of Jorg I can honestly say that I'm a fan! Some seems to hate it due to the psychopathic and evil main character. Starting with the disturbing part, Prince of Thorns tells the story of 14-year old 'Prince Honorous Jorg Ancrath', more simply known as Jorg. I had a lot of fun with this one. I was intrigued after Emma (Book Monkey) mentioned that it has been hailed as the “British answer to A Game Of Thrones”. Item 2 - a 15oz mug sporting the Prince of Thorns, King of Thorns, and Emperor of Thorns covers, wrapping it entirely. Worthy of Note: I bought Prince of Thorns - the first book in The Broken Empire trilogy – when Chris and I were on holiday. I'd read lots of discussion before actually jumping in and I have a couple things to say about it, the discussion that is. Prince of Thorns - Mark Lawrence Prince of Thorns Review by Jacqui Prince of Thorns is another first volume that I took a chance on. Item 1 - a 14" x 10" x 1/2" canvas-on-frame print of the Emperor of Thorns map.
