My grandfather in sleep with lively makeup cheeks.
That night my mother stopped me in my sleep
My arm was trying to reach him up above.
Literally.
I was in my teens.
I didn't stop crying the second
A familiar name gone told in the news.
Tears ran endlessly I could only
Ask why, what, why, with no immediate answer.
I'm in my thirties.
BREAKING of familiar names
Bring me to quiet yet deep sorrow while the world sobs.
I'm still recovering from earlier losses.
Beautiful souls made my world.
I'm grateful to given chances
To love and live in the same period.
I'll never be used to the pain.
This pain under attack by truth, why, and voiceless scream
Round and round.
Recover, if ever, or better memoir.
Leave me speechless. Powerless.
I've however learned to embrace.
Mourn. Toast to their presence.
Roar 'till your heart is heard.
Drink to 'em in the ways preferred.
