Although Soul Calibur for FIFA Ultimate Team Coins the Dreamcast is likely to be one of this year's biggest hits for the Sega console, Namco has previously stated that it intends on only sparsely supporting the system. The decision to bring Soul Calibur to the Dreamcast was, according to Namco, due to the PlayStation's lack of hardware muscle, and the next generation PlayStation's later release. Namco has stated that future games, such as sequels to Ridge Racer and Tales of Phantasia, will appear on the next PlayStation system. Whether or not Namco's attitude toward Sega and its Dreamcast will change in the coming months remains to be seen.
Japanese FIFA Ultimate Team Coins trade wire Nikkei Shinbun has reported that Hayao Nakayama, the vice chairman of Sega Enterprises, will be acceding to chairman of Pasona, one of the leading temporary-staffing agencies in Japan. To take this new office, according to the report, Nakayama will leave Sega Enterprises.
Currently there is major restructuring going on within Sega Enterprises. Part of the restructuring procedure includes closing Sega's AM division (Sega's arcade machine unit) - the same division that Nakayama is the head of. We assume that this closing is the reason for his departure.
