A BURRY Port councillor has branded the area "the Cinderella of Carmarthenshire" due to an alleged lack of investment in facilities to help boost tourism.
pandora beads wholesale Town councillor Les George blasted the county council for not laying on special seaside buses to Pembrey Country Park during the summer months -- despite running them to other tourist hotspots in the county, such as the botanical gardens, Pendine, Llansteffan and Laughar ne.
Carmarthenshire Council said a service which used to run was stopped due to lack of passengers -- but did not rule out bringing it back if the demand was there.
But Mr George questioned why a similar service was not operating for the park and Cefn Sidan beach, being the second largest visitor attraction in Wales.
He told fellow Pembrey and Burry Port town councillors: "In last month's edition of the council's community news, I read that special seaside buses have been laid on to take people to various destinations across the county during the summer months.
"Carmarthenshire Council's transport team has helped to provide this service to open up new opportunities for summer visitors.
Best IWC Watches Online "Why can't we have a similar service to Pembrey Country Park and the beach? "Once again, our area is the Cinderella of Carmarthenshire, and it's just not good enough."
Mr George is now lobbying to bring in a service at the park next summer.
He said: "Not every family or senior citizen has their own transport. Therefore, they are unable to visit the country park and beach because it is such a long walk from the main road."
A 深圳宝安搬家公司 spokesman for Carmarthenshire Council said public services which had run to the country park had been withdrawn because of a lack of use. He added: "However, if it could be shown a service can be economically viable, a public service could be restored."
