国際信号旗は海上において船舶間での通信に利用される世界共通の旗で、その使い方は国際信号書によって定められています

国際信号旗は一つだけでも【N】はNOを指したり、【R】はラジャー、信号を確認したことを表します。

また、旗は2つ以上の組み合わせでも意味をなし、【UとW】を組み合わせることで、ご安航を祈る、【MとAとA】を組み合わせると私は緊急の医療助言を要請するなど、組み合わせによって様々な意味をもたらします。
