"Hanami" Cherry blossom viewing

In Japan, April is the season of beautiful cherry blossoms. 

At this time, Japanese people go cherry blossom-viewing. 

We enjoy drinking and eating with friends and colleagues under the beautiful cherry blossoms.

In Nara period, plum blossoms were loved. 

Cherry blossoms became the object to flower-viewing in Heian period.

In the Heian period, the nobles wrote poems while looking at cherry blossoms.

The common people’s gathering under cherry blossoms and drinking and eating began in Edo period. 

There are a lot of masterpieces that people enjoying cherry blossom viewing were drawn by famous artists.  

Such a wonderful custom still continues!!
