ご無沙汰しております！（＾＾；）
It's been a long time!
日本は今、ゴールデンウィーク中なんですよね！いいな～！
It's a middle of Golden Week now in Japan! I am jealous!
私と主人は普通に働いております。（＾＾）
My husband and I are working as usual.
実は、今月（4月）引っ越しをしたんです。
Actually, we moved this month (April).
以前は借家でしたが、今回はロッドのお母さんの家に引っ越しました。
We rented a house before, but we moved into Rod's mother's house this time.
結婚して5年が経ち、様々な状況が変わり、ロッドのお母さんも89歳になることから、
思い切って同居することにしました。
It's been five years since we got married and things have been changed. Plus, Rod's mother will be 89 soon so we decided to move in there.
ただ、同居と言っても、私たちは2階の2部屋をベッドルームとリビングルームとして使用でき、
バスルームも別に付いています。
Even I say living together with his mother, we can use two rooms on the second floor as a bed room and a living room, and we have a bath room separately.
食事に関しても、私たちはお店で昼食・夕食を作って食べるので、義母との台所争いはありません。（＾＾；）
Regarding meals, we make and have lunch and dinner at the shop so there is no kitchen war with mother-in-law.
引っ越しして3週間くらいになりますが、私たちが夜帰ってくることで、義母も嬉しいようです。
It's been almost three weeks, she is happy about it because we come home every night.
そこで、今回は家の中の様子を少しお見せします。
So, I will show you the house little bit this time.
こちらはダイニングルーム。
Here is a dining room.
1階のリビングルーム。
Living room on the first floor.
ロッドの父親が日本やアジアのアートが好きだったことや、友人からもらった物など、
日本を感じさせる装飾品がこの家の中にはたくさんあるんです。
Since Rod's father liked Japanese and Asian art and some friends gave some to Rod's parents, there are many Japanse inspired decorative things in the house.
この３つの飾りは春夏秋冬を表しているようですが、１つ足りません。。。（＾＾；）
These three things show four seasons but one is
右側のお人形は日本人形のような感じですが、左のお人形と大きな扇は中国っぽい感じ。
The doll on the right looks like a Japanese doll, but the other one and the big fan look like Chinese.
そして、お庭には色とりどりのお花が咲いています。
Then, there are lots of colorful flowers in the yard.
奥の噴水のある所はゴルフコースなんです。
The fountain in the back is a golf course.
良い点はジェットバスが付いていること！（＾＾）
The good thing is we have a jet bath!
悪い点はゴルフ場の整備が朝早くから始まること。。。
The bad thing is the golf course people start early to maintain the golf
まあ、どこに住んでも良い点・悪い点はありますからね。（＾＾；）
Well, there are always pros and cons wherever you live.
義母がアメリカ人だからか、嫁と姑の問題もなく、今のところ順調です。
We don't have any problems between my mother-in-law and I maybe because she is American, and so far, so good.
私があまり家にいないってこともありますけど。（＾＾；）
Well, I am away from home most of the time anyway.
