Today's live was full of "Kasane (=Overlay St... Today's live was full of "Kasane (=Overlay Stitchng)" Kasane is the basic of Sashiko, yet it is troublesome to do. Kasane play a role as a knot in Sashiko stitching. After washing the product lightly, we will cut all the leftover thread so called "Itokiri" For today, the photo of all the un-cut thread. I hope to finish this on Friday... or next week! A post shared by Keiko & Atsushi Futatsuya (@sashi.co) on Feb 20, 2018 at 1:41pm PST
Another product from our concept of Mottainai... Another product from our concept of Mottainai - too good to waste. When we have a small pile of small swatches, we make one of these "Grandma Pincushion" It is not a regular item for sale, but once it becomes available, it is one of the most popular items we produce. Enjoy Fabric and Repurpose them. Appreciate what we have. Our concept is always in up-cycle. A post shared by Keiko & Atsushi Futatsuya (@sashi.co) on Feb 19, 2018 at 1:44pm PST
