ジョン・レノンのイマジンを
特集した番組をやっていて
出掛けなきゃなのに
１時間見入ってしまいました
私がイマジンを最初に聞いたのは
たぶん中学２年生のとき
授業で担当の先生が
カセットデッキを持ち込み
「何をするんだろう
」と見ていると
歌詞のプリントを配り曲を聞き
みんなでなぞらえながら歌い
ゆっくり訳をしながら
授業の最後、再度みんなで歌う
といったことが
イマジンとの出会いでした
あまり学校の勉強は
好きじゃなかったし
その先生も苦手だったけれど
この授業はとても心に残るものでした
私の頃はまだ指導要項に
定められていなかったようですが
今はオノ・ヨーコさんの活動と共に
授業の中で取り入れられているそうで
その授業を受けた中学生が
思い思いに受けた感覚を
率直に伝える様に
私も当時の感覚が思い出され
沸き上がる涙
先生に対しての感謝も沸いてきて
番組を見れば見るほど号泣に
音楽ってことばって
改めて偉大だ。。
そしてそれを受け取り
志を受け取った人が
具現化していくから
この歌は永遠に朽ちない
