I always think about architecture as a way to create an exciting culture with never-before-seen phenomena.

Let's start with one of them, 500 words about phenomena.

I think the word "phenomenon" is a word that is often used in our daily lives.
Weather phenomena, natural phenomena, social phenomena, etc. are all words that we are familiar with from the news.

However, in my mind, the phenomenon I want to create is something that will create a rich experience.
And when I think about it, I believe that it can only be created with the following three characteristics.

(1) Coincidence of meeting by chance = "wonderful moment
(2) Complexity in that various backgrounds are intertwined = "various thoughts
(3) Materiality that causes the feeling of being there = "amazing atmosphere

The combination of these three elements is the phenomenon I am aiming for.

When I think about it, all of the experiences in my life that have moved me, touched me, and left a deep impression on my memory have occurred in the context of phenomena that fit these three conditions.

A childhood experience when lightning struck the back of my grandmother's house in Yamanashi, and I was surrounded by lights and roaring sounds.
The shaking Toyota Stadium, where I was overwhelmed by the enthusiasm and power of the Brazilians.
The horizon that stretched out as far as the eye could see as the sun set and the sky turned to stars.

I want to see the form of architecture in the memories of phenomena that accumulate in my mind.
