I don’t think I believe in any religions, and most Japanese think so like me, but Buddhism and Japanese traditional religion already get into our life.
For example, Japanese greetings as “Itadaki-masu”, “Gochisou-sama” or something like that come from Buddhism. The behavior itself that we show the sign of appreciation for foods is related to the religions. Religious events are parts of Japanese culture and life.
