Summary

We introduced the history of the sports brand until now. I want to introduce the summary of the conventional blog.

About the establishment, the oldest company is Mizuno established in 1923, and the newest company is Under Armour established in 1996.
In addition, 4 companies (Mizuno, Hunmmel, Puma, and Umbro) were established in 1923 and 1924.

Hummel

Hummel was founded in Denmark, is one of the historic sports brand. It was founded by Mesmer brothers in 1923.　

Hummel means the bumblebee in German. The logo was made like the bumblebee. Headquarters is located in Aarhus City.
Hummel International's sales of approximately $62.5 million.　


It is well known that it was the first time developed a spike with a stud.　 In Japan, SSK, Inc. has made a license production as distributor. However, by having acquired the trademark rights in Japan in 2013, Japan manufacturing and sales of own products also made possible.


The main product is a soccer and handball. However, in recent years Hummel has been developing casual goods. So, it is receiving support from ages.

UNDER ARMOR

UNDER ARMOUR was established in 1996,by Kevin Plank. He was American. He taking advantage of the experience was a player of American football, tried to make new products.


The concept is to make products such as a second skin in close contact with the body. Initially it had been developing products in the basement of my grandmother's house, it has grown into one of the most comprehensive sporting goods brand in the United States in more than 10 years from the establishment.

At present, running, soccer, not only each sport, such as baseball, you have also developed products of daily life. In the field of baseball, five years from 2015, and a contract with the Yomiuri Giants, uniform is made of UNDER ARMOUR. In Japan , Ltd. dome has a sales license of UNDER ARMOUR products.

UMBRO

The founder of UMBRO are the British Harold Humphreys and his brother Wallace Humphreys.
UMBRO was established in 1924.

The origin of the name of UMBRO is their name.
It comes from "UM" of "Humphreys" and "BRO" of "brother".

The products of UMBRO are often used in soccer and rugby.
They are used in J. League, and it is known that Yasuhito Endo who is soccer player in Japan uses spike shoes of UMBRO.

In 2007 , UMBRO was purchased by NIKE.
And then , NIKE sold UMBRO to　Iconix Brand Group in the USA.
