I'm a girl smoking dully in the middle of small street everyday night.

Yes, I'm hostess, working in the world called "Mizu-Shobai"

I was looking through typical classified ad book, I forget, when I came across an ad.

Now I make a minimum of 18,000 yen per day but sometimes more , I mean, I can get "Rinzi-syuunyuu"

That's kind of "perquisite" thing like y'know, extravagant shoes, clothes, jewelry and cars or something.

Instead of getting those kind of GIFT,

I talk to them and laugh at their jokes regardless of the fact it is funny or not.

And...well, light their cigarettes and sing a song they request for me.

And just one more thing,

I can get a bonus money if we let them take us to dinner before work called "Douhan"

Drunk old men usually come to our shop, trying to drown their sorrow, loneliness in drunk.

When one of them tries to paw me, I hold hand tightly on the table top, gazing at them.

That way I'm in control, and they feel like they're getting something.

I can't do normal kind of jobs 'cause, y'know, there is a big difference of income between hostess and normal worker.

But there is something strange

It feels a bit like I'm losing something like I've been gaining like burning my precious time.

I still don't know what this feeling is.

RENT

I went to see the musical movie, RENT on Sunday.

I have long wanted to see this musical, but in Japan we don't have it.

(We had it, but it was in Japanese with Japanese casts.)

So it seems the only way to see this musical is to go to New York....

BUT!!!

They put it into a movie!

How amazing!

When I heard the news I decided to go to see it even though I cannot find somebody to go with.

(I have never been to a movie alone.)

So I checked the website of RENT, and looked for the theater which shows this film.

Then I found that only three theaters in Tokyo are showing this film.

It seems that Shibuya is the best place for me when I consider the railway pass I have.

I had expected so much before I went to see this movie, so I was a little afraid of being disappointed

by this movie.

When it started,,,,,I couldn't say something....it was very touching,,,,,

I think it is beyond description, so I don't want to say much about it.

At least let me tell you that I can give this film five stars out of five.

I got another reason I should go to New York.

When can I go to New York???

Sneaking out from a checkpoint regardless of the fact who you are

Dreams entrusted to songs echo in the van,.

The border is going far away, the loneliness presses down,

Wondering how far we've come from the refugee camp

Everyone's hope is in this heart

There's a view of sand from far away.

What am I doing?

I personally sometimes don't know why I have been working on ENGLISH
for such a long time. I wonder what drives me doing this. Like you I have seen lots of people appear to learn the language and leave before me. Now I am still here. Why? Do I admire the fXXking states? NO. I don't go to the MACs even though I usually wear jeans, before everything I HATE THE WAR THEY WAGE. So still I am just wandering around in the deep forest. Now I don't need the answer. I just do it. That's it. The answer should be simple sometimes.

A wedding party

Last Monday I joined one of my friend's wedding party, which was febulous because of its friendly atmosphere.

I think it's because both the bride and the groom are very kind, and I guess they wanted to have a wedding party the guests can enjoy.

They had beendaiting for eleven years and finally they got married.

Since they have a long history, most of their close friends know both of them, so we felt very familiar with them.

Even though, we found out new things we didn't know about them, which was very sweet!

One of the bride's best friends made a speech, and she told us how their relationship began.

At the end of the party, groom's father made the closing speech, and he said he didn't even know the episode that he heard from her .

It was a very heart-warming wedding...

I want to have a wedding party like that...when I found out the soul mate for me

(I am sure he is somewhere...oh, white knight dream???)

I took Toeic test today....

I don't think I did well.

Come on, happy!

Make more effort, and you can make much more progress, I am sure.

Do you like to watch TV drama?

As you know( Who knows???), I am a huge fan of Friends.

It is very funny, and at the same time I can learn English!

How wonderful!

Since the time when I finished watching all the episodes of Friends,

I was a kind of sad because I lost the pleasures to be looking forward to what was happening next?

Was it really end of the story?

But.....I've found another great drama that I can be into.

It is Sex and the City, which is known as SATC.

To be honest, I was sure that I would get to like it, but the lack of time prevented me from going to Tsutaya.

It is a story about four women living in New York, successful, gogeous, but unmarried.

I rent one DVD a week, and enjoy it. (Now I am watching Season 3.)

I know most of the men don't like this kind of story, but I love it!

Oh, do you notice that both of the TV drama I love are located in New York?

I think it is time for me to go to New York!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A homemade present

A couple I know was plannig to make a homemade present for each other for their Valentine's Day.

Isn't it a good idea?

I myself sometimes make a homemade present for my friends.

Most the time, I make some sweets, because it will disappear when you eat them!

Imagine you get a present that you don't like, and it is a homemade....

But even though it is so sweet....if somebody make you something for me, I appreciate the time he or she spent on me.

If the present is with card, it is even more sweet

I have one of my best friend's birthday coming soon.

What should I give her???

I don't know yet....but this time I think I will buy something,

悪魔のささやき

I got a burn on my right calf last Sunday.

Each movement of my right leg caused stabbing pain and made me cry.

The moment boiling water splashed on me, I plunged my burnt calf into the cold water

And I was freaked out about doing it alone.

I thought I was making too big a deal out of this at first like I would never walk again.

But now no problem walking.

Actually I am kind of happy to be off in the morning.

There is just a little part of me that it’s okay to absent from work for the whole day.
