There was a postcard despatched by one of my father's business partners, while he was on a business trip to Europe to attend a textile exhibition. The postcard was posted in the UK, and travelled all the way, thousands of miles, to my farther.
On tne postcard was printed a photo of "Piccadilly Circus" in the heart of London (I suppose the original photo was black and white, with the colours added later on), and when my father showed it to me, I felt very stong emotional upsurge shooting up from the bottom of heart.
What is this sudden upsurge? Looking back. I should say that it may have been my strong adoraton for someting foreign, or more specificcaly, something Western, i,e, people with blond, brunette hair, with blue eyes, conjuring up the image of higher class of peole and sophistication, and also all thoes stone buildings in the Gothic style, showing off length and ensuing weight of history, all of which makes a striking contrast with that of Asia.
