International Women's Day 2022

Hi!

Today I will talk about 

this important day

and maybe we know

there are several demostrations

around the world because of this,

an Mexico is not the exception.

We are suffering as all the world

that conditions are not the same, 

for us as women as for men; 

that includes all those women

that cannot go out alone

at night without being afraid and

know that something 

bad can happened. 

Today at school, a student

was asking: Why people celebrates 

more the women's day instead of the men's

day?

This was a good question, and I had to clarify

that he is a man, so I actually explained 

what he asked to, and a little bit later

the head teachers arrived and gave us

a chocolate as present to us, the teachers

and to the students who are girls, then 

at the end of the day all students received

a chocolate for their moms.

I think this is a nice detail, and here many people

congratulate us or give us a candy or chocolates 

due to many feminist said that it isn't good to do that,

I personally think that everybody is free to think

if receiving something and being taking into account

the situation around the world and society or if just 

reflect about this and that's it!

Note-> In the chocolate says: "Happy day, woman"

The Philadelphia story

Hi!

Today we will talk about

a film I saw this weekend,

this is called the philadelphia

story.

This movie, is about a man,

that is angry with his wife,

then after push her to the floor,

he left her and got divorced.

Two years later, she is engaged

with another man, a man that is not

rich as hers and as her ex; but became

rich by his hard-work.

The story starts with a journalist and 

a photographer that wants to know 

everything (because the newspaper they

work in ask for that) about the wedding, 

and the one that helped to let them in 

is the ex-husband. 

The film is about irony, little romantic,

conflicts and of course comedy. 

Also it has amazing dialogues,

so congratulations to the script,

and it gave me great ideas and

perspectives about human nature. 

Little Teacher's assistant

Hi!

Today I will talk about 

how I ended at work 

with this nice teddy bear

being my assistant during class.

Some of my students 

were playing with this bear, 

I asked them to stop playing

and concentrate during class

if they want to keep it with them.

They didn't do it, and I went and 

took it with me, I sat it on the desk 

and give him my pens to help me,

then, my students were like: 

What are you taking it as your clown?

So, in a certain point I had the had 

the chance to take this picture of 

my little assistant for a while.

Non-romantic Valentine's Day

Hi!

Today I will talk about 

Valentine's Day and what 

did I receive.

As you know, I was expecting 

something different, maybe one or two

candies or chocolate bars, but then

everything change. 

All this is what I received

by my students, just three of them:

two were from workmates and one

by the office.

And this amazing wallet, that one 

of my students gave to me, 

I love it and it is said in little towns 

that if you receive a coinpurse or 

a purse you will receive money, 

and wealth (wealth and money) in 

general I feel happy about it and 

made my "non-romantic 

valentine's day in one I can

remember with a smile. 

Happy Valentine's Day 2022

Hi!

Today I just want to wish you

a Happy Valentine's Day

I don't know from where

are you from or how do you 

celebrate (if you do, of course).

In Mexico we celebrate love

and friendship, so if you are not in love

or are in a relationship, 

you can celebrate with friends. 

In my case, I will be watching

the olympics ( I will talk about them 

a little bit later), eating chocolates due

to a friend's advice and maybe listening

any kind of music except romantic.

Being Monday and in pandemic is a little 

awful, but at least I will enjoy and distract myself 

with some little activities with my students.

Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck

Hi!

Today I will talk about

a book I started to read

when I was studying the college

in that time, my English was 

not good and I was doing my best 

to improve it. 

I read this book in English, so it was hard,

in that time I didn't understand so much,

almost nothing, and I barely remember 

if I finish reading it or not.

I kept all the material from my classes

at the college ( I mean the books), 

so a friend made me the purpose

of reading it in order to discuss it,

so I looked for it and I reread it. 

I'm proud of finishing it, and certainly

there complex parts I counldn't understand

at all, of course, I talk about the slang,

I enjoyed having this chance and finished it.

The story, is about a man that went to prision

due to have killed a man during a fight, then, 

after some time in prision he went back home, 

and discovered the problems that people had

loosing their properties. 

If you want to know about the hard life of 

farmers during the Great Depression, this is

a great book to read! 

Flowers in the Attic by V.C Andrews

Hi!

Today I will talk about

a book saga that I enjoy reading.

This is Dollanganger saga or

Flowers in the Attic Saga.

The story is about a family

that has 2 sons and 2 daughers,

Chris, Cathy as the eldest and 

the twins Cory and Carrie as the 

youngest. 

One day, their father died on an accident

and due to the debts of the family,

they realized they have grandparents 

and they go to live with them in a 

great manor.

Unfortunately, everything goes worse,

and they finally discovered what

their parents did for their grandparents'

hatred for them increase.

This book has 5 more books,

and I decided to read almost all of them. 

This is due to the last one was written

for another writer authorized by the

original writer's family, and until I revised

it seems to be complains about some significant

differences that don't have so much sense. 

This is a gothic novel, but also sinister,

showing us the dark face from human beings

and asking ourselves how much are you able

to do for money and having it in order to 

continue with your ambitions.

I recommend you this book,

and if you like gothic novels, romantic

or even horror (such as me) you

would like it.

Current Days Thoughts

Hi! 

Today I'm going to talk about 

some of my thoughts during these days.

It's difficult to stay here 

being safe, just going out

to the important things,

and people at work getting ill

of this.

Much stress, much problems

and also my few shines of hope

are so far, one has finished,

others are far away of being reached by me.

I cannot deny how bad or stressful I feel,

To whom I want to talk are busy,

or don't answer, or just I cannot talk 

to them, I'm just working, surviving

and trying to feel better on myself, 

but again, I feel judged, such as nothing is find

with me. 

That really make me think on several things,

on stuff I thought I let behind, 

but now is here again, maybe I need to 

find more ways to escape, to do something,

to be listen or read, sorry if I'm bothering you, 

but I couldn't find other way to do it.

Bring them to light by Apocalyptica feat Kyo

Hi!

Today I will talk about

this video I saw sometime ago. 

This video is from one of my favorite

bands, Apocalyptica. What makes 

special to this video is that is feat 

Kyo from Dir en Grey. 

The original version is feat 

Gojira singer Joe Duplantier, but 

live was performed by Kyo and 

Tipe Johnson. 

His voice is amazing, also Tipe Johnson 

is a great singer, but in my opinion

his style doesn't fit so much on this song

taking into account the powerful voice

and Kyo's talent on growling.

Finishing Prince of Persia

Hi!

Today I will talk about 

something I did months ago, 

I bought prince of persia

in order to continue and finish it.

Around 2010 - 2014, sorry, 

I don't remember exactly the year,

but I tried to play it, and I arrived to 

a dead-end during a battle.

This was when the Prince has to

defeat his father, that now turned into

the Sand King.  

Then, due to many things: lack of time, 

technical issues and lots of work, I didn't finish it.

Then, after finishing Silent Hill, I saw on Steam

the ads of great offerts and I were asking myself

which game it would be nice to play again?

due to the incredible discounts, I ended buying the whole

saga (sands of time, warrior within, the two thrones 

and the forgotten sands), a bargain I couldn't resist!

After months trying hard,

at night, before start working (when I was 

on home office) and finally,  on november

I finished the game.

With a great smile on my face and 

satisfied with myself, I got my reward,

and immediately started warrior within, 

the one I still playing and listening to the

soundtrack while working. 

When I finish it I will let you know!
