Another castle I happened upon along the way. Aughnanure Castle was built around 1500.
The castle has a river running partially underneath it. In fact, the banqueting hall was destroyed when the rocks under it collapsed and it fell into the underground river below.
Entrance was free of charge on the day I visited. Lucky!
