The Year of the Dog will be a turbulent year for Eluna. The year started with a storm that left the forest with big scars.

After the storm heavy machinery was brought in to make the forest safe and the paths accessible again. One of the foresters made a big chair with his initials on it.

Talking about chairs, Eluna is busy organizing a pop-up museum for furniture. Last week, she went to a town to talk with some people. The town of Culemborg is situated along the river the Lek. It is a town with many furniture manufacturers.

Last but not least, spring is coming! Eluna found some snowdrops in the forest. To show the resilience of nature after the storm, just a few miles further, Eluna found herself in some kind of fairyland.

It is the Year of the Dog. Eluna loves cats very much, but this blog is about dogs. Dogs are adorable too. In the holidays, Eluna visited her family. There was a sweet little dog called Vos [キツネ]. He loved to be cuddled.

The Netherlands are held tightly in the cold grip of King Winter. Everything has been painted white. Branches fall rom the trees because they are heavy with snow.

Eluna uses this relatively quiet period to make another blog. Nothing much has happened, so it is a short one this time.
The cats are very thrilled they rule the house again without competition from other strange creatures like dogs. The evenings are getting colder, so they snuggle up with their mommy.

Eluna felt like a different hair color, so she experimented with the hair dye. The result is a bit darker red. It’s a good start!

Now that the exhibition is ready, Eluna has returned to her other work: research and writing. In the meantime, autumn has arrived. It is hard to say goodbye to the summer for Eluna. But it is inevitable. She tries to enjoy the beauty of the Fall. Last week there was company in the form of a small dog, Kira. Eluna took care of the little fox. Together they went out for long walks in the park…

Summer is almost over, Autumn is coming. Eluna has worked very hard at an exposition, so she barely has had time to walk in the woods.

The exposition is about an industrial designer and his company. The company is celebrating their 100th anniversary this year. The exposition shows the development in designs and styles through time, based on 5 themes: transparency; customized work; for everyone; timeless; sustainable.

Last Monday Eluna and some techniciens built the exposition. It is held in an official building, the House of the Province of Gelderland. A province is a kind of prefecture. The building had been renovated and extended. Last Wednesday was the official opening by the king of Holland. Eluna was also invited. Unfortunately, due to protocol, nobody was allowed to take pictures.

The decision has caused Eluna a lot of grief, but it is for the best of everyone.

Dog Ashra has been a part of Eluna’s household for a month. He has grown considerably. He also has learned many new things, like walking on a leash, how to [sit] and [lay down] on command. He also has learned what bicycles, scooters and cars are. And the fun parts: how to play with balls and other toys. Or how to earn a snack!

One night Ashra and Tsuki chased a night moth together.
