Yesterday we experienced our first blizzard in Canada.

Heavy snow about 25 cm, strong wind blowing from Atlantic ocean and minus 25 temperature.

We stayed home all day because everything was shut in the island.
City decided to close schools and public offices and public transportation, so it was kind of nice to have this unexpected emergency holiday.
As snow piled up, I felt more and more happy.
It was so white and magical to watch from the window of my house.

Finally we went out for walk late at night, when storm calmed down a little, and Elmo just loved it.

He jumped and run in the snow and played like a wild rabbit.
Snow piles were very high and sometimes he falls deep inside and cannot get out. I can just see his red boots sticking out and quickly run to rescue him.

≪簡単な訳≫
昨日、カナダに来てからはじめての暴風雪を経験したわ。

大西洋からの－25℃の強烈に冷たい風に、雪も25ｃｍも積もったの。

一日中家にいたの、だってこの島のお店は全て「CLOSE」状態。
学校も、公共施設、交通機関もお休みになったの。
この臨時休業は私にとってはいい休みになったの。

雪が積もるにつれ、ますます気分がよくなってきちゃった。
だって、窓からの景色は、とっても白くて、幻想的だったわ。

ＥＬＭＯちゃんはお外じゃないとトイレができないから、
夜遅くになって散歩に出かけたわ。
少し嵐も落ち着いてきていたから。
ＥＬＭＯちゃんも雪が好きみたい。

ＥＬＭＯちゃんは雪の中を飛び回っているわ、まるで野うさぎのように！

雪が深くて、ときどきその中にもぐり込んじゃって出られなくなっちゃってるわ。
そんな時はＥＬＭＯちゃんの赤のブーツだけが目印、
急いで救出に向かうの。

って感じでしょうか？

シャーロットタウンの天気予報をみたら、
また来週から－２０℃以上の予報が出ているのみたいです。
風があれば体感気温はもっともっと寒く感じるようだから、
ＥＬＭＯちゃん、Ｇママ、「PLEASE TAKE CARE

」
