Late at night, I turned off the light in my room and turned on the receiver. The bright green LEDs illuminated the frequency display, and the sound of light jazz came from a small passive speaker on my desk. As usual, the frequency was 88.1 MHz, the Saturday night jazz program on JOBK-FM, the FM broadcast of NIHON HOSO KYOUKAI (NHK), my favorite station. When connected to a digital amplifier with RCA cables, it produces a rich sound, and I find myself listening to the music. I even feel as if I am listening to a high-end audio system. The receiver is a Watkins Johnson WJ-8611, DIGITAL

VHF/UHF RECEIVER.
