Martha Stewart called both groups to the boardroom at the beginning of the task.
and she simply re-grouped them all.
Jennifer and Ryan (I think it was...) volunteered to become project managers on this task, and they started choosing thier new groups by calling one by one from all the candidates.
Jennifer, as a manager of the new Premarius, chose Jim, Bethenny, Howie, Sarah....cant remember others.. on the other hand, Ryan being a manager of the new Matchstick, chose David, Marcela, Leslie, etc...ha i cannot remember them all!
Each group had a good cook to contribute a lot to the teams. Bethenny made delicious dressing in such a short time, and Marcela also made really tasty one herself. I personaly think Bethenny's one probably tasted better... just from the way it looked. but anyways...
Both team had great products to promote at two different stores. And they both had a disaster...in marketing strategy. As for Matchstick, Leslie was pushing too hard to get consumers buy multiple bottles of dressings with her "best marketing tactic" as she called it. well... it was almost like putting the second or the third dressing bottles to people's carts without really asking them if they wanted. well... asking them if they want something isnt really a good marketing strategy, I guess, but just pushing it too hard wouldnt work out well either. People started leaving the bottles here and there in the store, and they ended up coming back to the start point where Matchstick promoted the product. And here's Jim... using his big mouth for disgusting people in the store. there was one lady who actually stepped into and complained about him to the store manager. well.. Jim... your mouth wasnt working well this time... lol They were told that they would have to leave if there would be one more complain from the customer. Jim, with that warning, still went on using his ineffective tip, talking loudly, catching people's attention in a bad way.... Jim on this task just reminded me somebody I know from school, who happened to be miserable in communication... lol
At the end, Matchstick had more sale than Premerius did. They sold the dressing $3.45/bottle which was $0.54 less than what Premerius priced their product but sold 15% more than Premerius did. And they won the task... for the FIRST TIME EVER! reforming the groups sure helped Matchstick to experience the feeling of winning! haha
Now, back to the boardroom, there were Jim and Jennifer. Jim was obviously being an annoying salesman who had no idea how to approach consumers, and yeah, it was really his fault that Premerius lost. However, Jennifer being a product manager didnt work as hard as she should have done. While Jim acting like a total weirdo, she did not take him back and try selling the product herself. She was just afraid of telling Jim to back off because Jim was such a moodie. well, good managers never are afraid of controlling people as Martha said. I must agree on that.
yes... with no doubt, Jeniffer had to leave this time. Jim... can go next week LOL yeah, you've got another week to stay, Jim!
