Hi there!
I`m a new member of English cafe. My name is Ekaterina. I am Russian. I`ve been living in Japan for 17 years.
Recently I started coming to an English cafe to talk to the guests on different topics. Many people are interested in Russia and I`m happy to tell them about the life in Russia, how it differs from the life in Japan.
For example, yesterday I told the guests that actually Russians don`l like cold very much. We have warm apartments and we wear warm clothes to protect ourselves from the cold. Many people dream of moving to a warm country and some of them have already moved to Thai or Bali or other warm and cheap places. As far as I know, some of Russians have second houses in Thai, where they spend winter or summer vacations. Anyway, most of Russians hate cold. And it`s was hard for me to get used to the abcence of central heating in Japanese houses in winter.
Yesterday we also talked about Russian politics, the situation in North Korea and it`s threat to Japan.
Speaking about life in RussiaI told the guests about unbalance between mens` and womens` population and the problems which this unbalance causes.
