現在日本では英語を学ぶ方法が沢山ありますが、15年以上海外で生活からの経験を生かして英語の上達のコツを書きみさしていただきます。
なお私は海外に移住した頃、英語は全く喋れませんでした。自分の名前をアルファベットで書けないほどでした（笑）。ですが現在では日本語よりも英語に自信があると思います、結局長い間英語環境で暮らした結果： 「英語団体活動」 が一番の上達の道だと私は思います。
では英語団体活動とはどうゆうことなんでしょうか？例を上げるとしたらこんな感じです：
- チームスポーツ （サッカー、バスケ、野球）
- 趣味のミートアップ （料理、文化系）
- ファームジョブ（海外限定） など
では何故団体活動がなぜ近道になる可能性になるのでしょうか？答えは団体行動では例え英語ができなくても相手側から同じ趣味が「好き」とゆう共通点が生まれるからです。例えばサッカーをする場合チームメイト + サッカーが好きとゆう共通点で相手も親切にしてくれサッカーのチームプレイの件でコミュニケーションを取ってくるはずです。サッカーがワンクッションてきになるので恐怖感が無い場面で英語は上達すると思います。裏を返せば英語でコミュニケーションをとるのではなく趣味でコミュニケーションをとるとゆう形です。
自分やほかの英語初心者もこうゆう形で英語をあまり努力せず習得しました（自分は現地で少年野球から高校野球までやりました）
英語を上達を狙う人は英語の団体活動を試してみるのはどうでしょうか？

In mondern day Japan there are many ways to study english through many channels but I am going to share my exprience which helped myself alot. When I first arrived to my current destination, I couldn't speak a single word let alone spell my own name on the english alphabet. However after many years abroad and being able to speak fluently the conclusion I came up to learn efficiently was through "team activity". What i mean by team activity is the practice of you being in a team of some sort of either a sport or hobby. This helps with the developement of the english language due to the fact that no matter your language barrier the other person can sense your passion/drive in that particular hobby. For example lets take soccer or football(Sorry UK), even if you cannot speak any english, the other person will try to communicate with you since its a team sport and most likely have respect since you play the same sports to enjoy. Because of this it leverages the fact of the bond since its a hobby in common where potentially can communcate through the hobby itself.
