Fleetwood Mac: a 1970's soft rock legend

Have you ever heard of The Carpenters? I'm sure you've heard their songs in English class or even in the shopping mall. I think they're a great band!

 

I recommend a band called Fleetwood Mac to anyone who likes The Carpenters. They were popular in the late 1970s. They have a nice soft rock rhythm and their vocalist (Stevie Nicks) has a beautiful and memorable voice.

Green Day

I love Green Day! I remember buying their "Warning" CD when I was a junior high student.

 

I think their style of rock is fun to listen to for all types of people.

Good Riddance is a beautiful acoustic song about life, experiences, and moving forward with our lives. The lyrics are very meaningful and moving.

 

 

Warning


Warning is a song that asks us to think about what we do before we do it. I don't think you should do things the main character does in the video, but they are interesting to think about.

 

Wake Me Up When September Ends

 

This song is very sad and emotional. I can't listen to it without tears in my eyes. It's about the death of the vocalist's father. It makes me think that we should treasure our loved ones and never take them for granted, because they can be taken away from us any moment.

 

 

Troubled Times

 

Green Day has a lot of political songs. This is their newest song and it is a political commentary on the many problems the USA is facing right now.

 

 

American Idiot

 

American Idiot is an old song, but its mesage is still very important.

It is a message to all the people of the world, not only the US.

It tells us that we should be careful and think about what we read in the newspaper and see on TV before we believe it.

President Trump may have been elected because many Americans believe the things and promises he told them.

This is song is great for graduation! It's about enjoying life while we're still young.

Rock music is great, isn't it?

 

I have been listening to pop rock since I was 8 years old and hard rock since I was 12.

 

Rock music has helped make me the woman I am today.

 

I love the sound of the drums, guitar, bass, and vocals mixing together to create music that I can feel deep in my soul.

 

I could talk about rock music all day, but instead I'll share some of the best new rock songs I've heard in the last year.

This song is a great blend of rock and pop style! The message and melody are great!

 

 

* Twenty One Pilots - Heathens

With almost 650,000,000 views it's clear that this is the most popular rock song of 2016. It became popular because of Suicide Squad.

 

 

* Red Hot Chili Peppers - Dark Necessities

Red Hot Chili Peppers is a legendary rock band! Their music is groovy and catchy and great for anyone to listen to.

 

 

* Shinedown - How Did You Love?

I love this song because it makes me think about the power we have to change each other and things around us.

 

 

* Blink 182 - Bored to Death

Blink 182 was my favorite band when I was a high school student. They have many hits, but their new song, Bored to Death is especially good. Give it a listen!
