１．クリスマスにケーキを食べる習慣は、キリスト教とは関係なく、
そのルーツは北欧にある。
The custom of eating cake on Christmas has nothing to do with Christianity,
but it originated in Northern Europe.

２．キリスト教が入ってくる朝、北欧では、ちょうど１２月の終わりに「冬至の祭」

The festival was held to weather this season cheerfully.

Although this cake was a simple one with walnuts and raisins added
to it, this cake eventually became the original model for the present
Christmas cake.
８．北欧以外のキリスト教国に伝わり、クリスマスにケーキを食べる習慣に
なっていった。
This custom spread to Christian nations other than those of Northern
Europ, and the custom of eating Christmas cake came to be.
