They came from Canada to take over the USA! They are Crocs shoes. Undoubtedly you've seen them or even had a pair or two but, what makes us love these shoes originally developed in Quebec as a spa shoe?
We can wear them to the beach, or to the movies, they are generally accepted everywhere, Crocs has many more styles now, and they are very versatile. They have expanded the brand beyond the US where their popularity in foreign countries is unmistakable. A common misconception is that Crocs are clogs, ugly and, made for fisherman! If you haven't seen their styles recently you would be surprised!
Why has their popularity grown so much? In the first place, Crocs are known for being a very comfortable shoe. They are made from soft materials that cushion your feet and their openings promote your feet being able to breathe in the shoes. Originally, they were touted as a healthy alternative to flip-flops and given the popularity of flip-flops it's easy to see why a whole generation of flip-flop wearers would embrace these shoes. More recently, with the advent of the minimalist shoe movement, Crocs fit in because they are flexible, light and allow your feet to be in an environment closer to bare feet than regular shoes.
Crocs have their followers and detractors but, whatever side you come down on you have to admit, that the followers are religious about their Crocs. Why? I believe it's because Crocs comfort, lightness, and breathability change how people look at their shoes. If form follows function, then Crocs are true to their shapes and styling. Followers end up less concerned about looks than about function and Crocs are truly functional. They also appreciate the soft material men crocs shoes that has a comfortable feel against your feet and are claimed to be "Green." The material is called Croslite and is made from non-plastic ingredients. Followers who have jobs where they have to stand all day, have embraced Crocs wholeheartedly to coddle and reduce stress on their feet.
Crocs are immediately popular with kids because they are great shoes for all the adventures that they experience. Whether it's running through a field, or playing with their friends at school, Crocs give kids what they need. Crocs also came up with an amazing accessory for kids called Jibbitz which are actually charms that can be attached to their Crocs to personalize them and make them more stylish. Fortunately for parents, they are durable, can be washed, are waterproof, and their bacteria-resistant material is odor-free.
Crocs are no longer limited to the classic clog shape that made them famous. Taking a look online you will find that they now have all new styles for women, men, and children that are a far cry from the original Croc. Some would even call them fashionable! One of the strengths of Crocs is that they have always made their shoes available in an amazing variety of color combinations so that you can find a color that catches your eye.
So Crocs are comfortable, light, breathable, colorful, fashionable, and functional. How could they not be popular?

I am so thrilled that the guys at Crocs have come up with these just awesome women's Croc boots especially for winter. Not only that but, they have not forgotten the guys either and have designed some pretty rugged men's Croc boots too.
Because Croc clogs contain some amazing health properties that really are so beneficial it makes perfect sense that the boots should have them too and what do you know? The clever designers have managed not only to incorporate them but keep our feet toasty warm and dry too.
If you have never heard of or seen Croc clogs or any of the fabulous funky designs that Croc shoes are now available in, boy have you been missing out. They have to be the ultimate in comfort and I have never found anything else that comes this close to footwear heaven.
When they first came onto the shoe market in 2002 they caused a bit of a stir. They were designed for spa wear and as such were not meant to be a high fashion cat walk item and judged on how they looked. The resin itself contains antifungal and antibacterial properties which stop the fungal spores and bacteria living on your feet from growing and giving you horrible stinky feet at any time of the year. Also, athletes foot does not stand a chance of causing you problems either.
If you are unfortunate enough to be suffering from diabetes there is some fantastic news for you too as, on the footbed of the shoe are these nobbly bits that actually massage your feet as you walk. This has the effect of increasing blood flow to your feet and legs. This in turn helps prevent any further break down of your skin which can be very problematic with this condition.
The bottom line with Croc shoes is the fact that all this and more goes on whilst you have them on your feet and you are not even aware of it. You will just know how comfortable they feel; you have to try them to fully appreciate them.
I will be treating my feet to the toasty experience of women's Croc boots. Not only that but, I know I can walk around come rain or snow and stay upright no problem as women's Croc boots have been tested to international slip standards and passed with flying colours. Bring on the bad weather.
