英検1級 記述式英作文問題

　今日は、天美校で作成した英検1級の記述式英作文問題（2016年度 第3回 ）の模範解答例を掲載します。

　Although the majority of Japanese people support the system of capital punishment, I am strongly against capital punishment for three reasons.
　Firstly, the system of capital punishment may be a violation of the Japanese Constitution because physical torture and cruel punishment by government officials are prohibited. It stipulates on the article 36 of the Japanese Constitution. Also such cruel punishment is unacceptable from a humanitarian point of view.
　Secondly, many countries have abolished the system of capital punishment and they have not revived it so far. That means it is unnecessary for human beings. Also, that may imply that the system of capital punishment does not act as a deterrent against serious crimes. We should think deeply about how to reduce serious crimes without depending on the system of capital punishment.
　Thirdly, it is impossible for a nation to relieve a falsely charged case or a mistrial if a condemned criminal has already been executed. There are four cases in Japan that condemned criminals proved innocent.
　Consequently, Japan should abolish the system of capital punishment. I would like to call for a moratorium on executions. I hope that a nation will not abuse the system of capital punishment. And I hope that a nation will not use the system of capital punishment as a nation’s political weapon.

TOEICと英検

♪先日、TOEICを受験された、みなさん♪

　英検の上位級(2級、準1級、1級)で求められる力は、「英語力」＋「教養力」です。
　もっと詳しく言うと、英検の上位級で求められる力は、「語彙力」＋「論理的思考能力」＋「背景知識」です。

　それに対して、TOEICで求められる力は、「英語力」＋「情報処理能力」です。

　従いまして、英検対策とTOEIC対策においては、それぞれの試験の特徴に応じた、学習方法が必要になってきます。

　高校生のみなさんで、大学入試で、英語の外部検定試験を活用したいと思っておられる方は、高校3年生の1学期までに、TOEICのスコア 650～780を目指していきましょう♪
　大学入試だけではなく、将来の就職活動においても、有利になりますよ♪

「大阪府公立高校入試 英語C問題 英作文問題」の答案作成手順・例題・解答例を掲載します。

【答案作成手順】
① 最初に、自分の意見を書く。
② 次に、①に対する理由を複数、書く。
③ 最後に、①に準ずる内容を、もう一度書く。

【例題】
　Some high schools allow students to do a part-time job. Other high schools do not allow students to do a part-time job. Which of these two schools do you like better? In English write your opinion and reasons.

【解答例】
　I think it is good for me to have a part-time job.
　One reason is that I can get some money and I can buy things which I want.
　Another reason is that a part-time job can give me good experience. Work experience can give me many important skills which I can use in the future.
　For these reasons, I like to do a part-time job when I enter a high school.

今日は、高校生で、習う英語の「仮定法」の考え方の説明をします。

★　近い将来、中学生も「仮定法」を学習することになりますよ。★

「直説法」は，【単に，未来に起こることを予想する。】

「仮定法過去」は，【現在のことに対して「今～ならば･･･」と仮定する。】

「仮定法過去完了」は，【過去のことに対して「あの時～だったら･･･」と仮定する。】

★ 「仮定法過去」・「仮定法過去完了」の文の動詞の特徴は，以下の通りです。

「仮定法過去」

【 If S＋過去形，S＋[ would, should, could, might ＋原形 】

「仮定法過去完了」

【 If S＋had＋過去分詞，S＋[ would, should, could, might ＋have＋過去分詞 】

　それでは，例文を用いて，「直説法」と「仮定法過去」と「仮定法過去完了」の違いをマスターしましょう。

「直説法」は，【単に，未来に起こることを予想します。】

※　未来に起こる可能性は，60%～80%位です。

（例文）If it rains, the game will be canceled.

　　　【雨が降れば，試合は中止になるだろう。】

「仮定法過去」は，【現在において，もし別の事情であったとしたら，起こっているかもしれないことを予測します。】

（例文）If it rained, the game would be canceled.

　【（今，雨は降っていないが）もし今，雨が降っていれば，試合は中止になっているだろう。】

「仮定法過去完了」は，【過去において，もし別の事情であったとしたら，何が起こっていたであろうかということを予想します。】

  （例文）If it had rained, the game would have been canceled.

  【（試合当日は，雨が降らなくて，試合は，予定通りに行われたが）もし試合当日に，雨が降っていたら，試合は中止になっていたであろう。】
