
Training, Certification and Licensing
Majority of jobs in this domain need either a bachelor's or higher degree. Several colleges and universities nowadays have degree programs in human, personnel, or labor relations. Still others offer courses leading to a career in human resource management business management software Malaysia which may be found in other departments such as business administration, education, communication, or public administration. Certain specializations need higher degrees. Several labor relations manager jobs, for instance, require graduate study in industrial or labor relations. An advanced degree such as a master's degree in human resources can be not only helpful but in many cases necessary to become a human resource manager in a large organization.

Human resource managers are generally not licensed; however, certain organizations provide certifications that can enhance the credentials of a manager. The Human Resource Management Society provides two of these: the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and the Professional in Human Resources (PHR). The ASTD (American Society for Training and Development) Certification Institute provides certification in the learning and performance domain. The title of Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBP) is awarded by The IFEBP or International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans to those who finish a sequence of college level courses and can pass exams.
