無機質な鉄格子に手を入れた冷えたビールを流し込み、午後の旅路へ向けた燃料補給は完了だ🍺
Along the dry winds of the A6 highway in Habarana, central Sri Lanka, G.AWINE STORES suddenly appears, looking like a movie set. It's not even possible to step inside the store; it's barricaded with iron bars to prevent robbery. Through the gaps, I mingle with the local men and verbally order alcohol. Being a place where money is plentiful, this is a true Sri Lankan form of self-defense. In the middle of a desert-like wilderness, I reach through the impersonal iron bars to pour a cold beer, and my fuel is ready for the afternoon's journey.
