So what does one need to do to fit in? Is it important to learn from one's surroundings to adapt?
Of course, it's what any normal person would do

Here I listed down the results of my observation, straight from my journal. It's a collection of my own, and other people's thoughts during my whole stay and I believe I would be adding more stuff as I go.
-Fast foods are a must. If you don't eat in a fast food chain you risk being shunned by the American society. An average American youth consumes about 4 McGangbangs in a period of one week!
-No matter how Asian you are, white people are always better in using chopsticks than you do.
-In the USA, some people eat sticks of butter for lunch. Others deep fry them in cinnamon batter.
-The South is the best place for home cooking, pretty gals and friendly folks. The food is just great in general.
-Those red cups are important, be sure to drink in one of those at least once.
-Foreign accents will more or less save you in certain situations. Also, oddly enough, some girls can be won over just by speaking in an accent. Depends on what it is. Such mystery.
-Cars are a necessity. Any kind of personal transportation is important to get around. I own a bike, it was enough to get me around. A car would have been better though.
-Don't walk anywhere. Drive (Bike) everywhere.
-Sometimes you don't even need to get out of the car anymore, almost everything is drive thru.
-In America, drive thru banks and pharmacies exist. Therefore I come to the conclusion that the USA is designed to have you do the least amount of work!
-Also when picking a car, avoid driving a car of similar appearance to a criminals car.
-Florida is not full of old people.
-Michigan/Georgia seems to strike a few nerves whenever its mentioned in Florida.
-In Florida, old people live on the golf courses. People there seem to start liking golfing at a pretty young age given the existence of mini golf courses.
-Daytona, Miami (sans zombies) or Tampa Bay are good places to hang in.
-The only real attraction in Orlando is Disney World, which is super expensive and for children. Universal Studios is only good during Halloween season.
-Staying in Florida is pretty much like going to Tijuana. Lots of Hispanics around.
-Asking where the bidet is seems to trigger some sort of reaction to white people every time.
-Fedoras seem like a fashion statement for hamplanets.
-Hambeasts take up mobility scooters in Walmart 90% of the time.
-In America, some gyms have their pizza nights (usually Fridays) and you can eat pizza while you workout.
-Everything is Obama's fault.
-Being up to date with reality shows is recommended if you expect to be in on the water cooler conversation.
-Avoid truck stops.
-Avoid ANY place of worship.
-Avoid any establishment that you have not been to over seas.
-Avoid using public transportation.
-New York City is a colossal grid of buildings.
-New Jersey is.. well, New Jersey.
-If you are foreign, almost everyone on the street in the US (or anywhere else in the world really) will believe you. They seem to be very fond of weird stories you tell them. Once I mentioned I lived in Australia for a few years in my life and people immediately asked me if we ride kangaroos over there.
and finally,
-Shooting something/a gun at least once is a must while in the USA.
I don't have anything else about other states but, who care about those amirite I mean, Michigan? Texas? PFFFT.
