シルビアはずっと先を行っているのに、彼女の５月３日の日誌まで読んだところ。どうも、追っかけきれないうちに旅を終えてしまいそう。

リカンベント・トライクという３輪の自転車で、今年１月１５日に出発し、ロスアンジェルスから東へ、米国南部横断ツアーをしていたシルビアさん、別のツアーとしてナッシュビルまで北上し、ナッシュビルからロスに飛行機ででも帰るかと思って、日誌の追跡をやめていたら、なんと今度はWestboundの旅シリーズを始めているのでびっくり。
彼女の日誌は続く限り読み続けると決めているので、急いで追っかけねば。
ただし、次のサイトに整理していくのは、結構しんどいので、日誌の内容をきちんと読みきるのに必要な最低限の難しい単語、言い回し、又は興味あることなど、このようにメモしていこうかと。

There were lots of Harley's out today and apparently there was a bad accident with ems tending not far away.
Hhe asked if I wanted to meet Tom the Stone Talker. He explained that Tom has been building a tribute wall for his great great grandmother for a long time and the wall is a big deal. Okie-dokie.

この日は、天候と景色にめぐまれ、早く宿につき合流した友達と楽しんだ様子。雷雨が来ているので、ここに２泊するとか。

雷雨が午後１時にルートを横切るので、朝７時に出発。道は坂が多く大変だった。そして、今回のトレイルの終着地ナッシュビルに到着。

There were lots of wild turkeys running next to the road with their bright red gizzards flapping.
Soon we were at the end of the Natchez Trace Parkway. It was very understated with the same sign at the end as at the beginning. No fanfare or signs of congratulations. No problem though. As long as the storm held out we had planned to stop in at the Loveless Cafe. Biscuits and bourbon were a wonderful way to celebrate our accomplishment.

Larry has worked for Bentrideronline for many years doing informative reviews of trikes and gear.
There has been a daily deluge with powerful thunder storms that doesn't look to clear until Wednesday May 4th. I expect to make that my first ride of the next tour - westbound on the TransAm.
I'm going to make the upcoming TransAm tour it's own journal. Clicking on the forward button at the top of this page will get you there or go to the Journals page. My plan for this tour is simple. I'm going to ride until the weather in Portland turns nice. Where ever I am I'll rent a van or truck and beeline the rest of the way. This usually happens the beginning of July. It looks like I'll ride west for around 6 weeks. We'll see how far I get.
