2010年メキシコ湾原油流出事故(Deepwater Horizon oil spill)は、2010年4月20日にアメリカ合衆国ルイジアナ州のメキシコ湾沖合80kmで操業していたBP社の石油掘削施設「ディープウォーター・ホライズン」が爆発し、海底1,522mへと伸びる深さ5500mの掘削パイプが折れて海底油田から大量の原油がメキシコ湾全体へと流出した事故。
原油流出量はBP社発表によると1日15000キロリットルと推定される。その後修正され、7月16日までの総流出量は約78万キロリットル（490万バレル）で、1989年に4万キロリットルが流出したアラスカ州のタンカー事故（エクソンバルディーズ号原油流出事故）をはるかに超えた。[5][6] この流出量は1991年の湾岸戦争（150万バレル）に次ぐ規模で、1979年メキシコのイトスク（海底、45万t、330万バレル）、1979年アトランティック・エンプレス号（29万t）を大幅に凌駕している。被害規模は数百億USドルとされる。
