It was a time day in Lyon. I took participate in a debrief class presented by Professor Grace Goni in Emlyon. It was very interesting. Especially, I learned that Japanese society and education system are very similar to those of France. For example, both Japanese and French education systems are based on the concept of deducting points. So, people of these two countries are reluctant to speak English in public.

On the other hand, we have a difference in the value of life. French people think hat quality of life and pleasure are very important aspects of their livers, while we Japanese still think that hard working is more important. This dissimilarity may reflect that of their working styles. I do not know which is better, but I think French idea about lives is respectable.

As a whole, my trip in Lyon was very enjoyable. I had chances to experience French cultures and learn business such as negotiation. These experiences are precious and will enrich my career in the long run. However, one thing which I have to regret was that I was too conservative. I had some chances to have talk with French people, but I did not do so because I could not speak French. I think that they were open-minded and willing to talk with me. Next time to visit abroad, I will learn basic local languages and try to have a casual conversations with local people.
