Today is the Christmas eve.
I went to Omotesando with my girlfriend. I saw a lot of people who are wearing the costume of Santa or Reindeer. And I met a friend of mine who is my classmate and takes the same class. Two of us, I and my friend, are surprised but say nothing each other. I know what she thinks. She thinks "don't tell this anybody". Yeah, I also think so.
By the way, as I said I saw a lot of Santa and Reindeer people on Omotesando Street.
I think more and more people wear costume and make them look like some characters or Santa or something like those recently. I didn't see people wearing like characters when I was a high school student. This trend becomes more and more popular. People are inclined to be more bold.
Why is this trend spreading??
I think the answer is on the Internet. On the Internet, the trend or the hot word spread quickly among the users who are looking Twitter and Facebook. If someone see his/her friends looking like character on the facebook or Twitter, he/she thinks pretending some character is friendly acceptable rather than embarrassing. And he/she who looked Twitter go to the downtown and wear a costume and upload on the Internet.
The odd action spread on the Internet, and also spread in the real world.
The internet or the SNS make people more bold, I mean culture was developed by web.
