Yesterday I was out and about with Mika. After an afternoon starting wit lunch at Mika's house we left on a journey of chores, visiting friends and food shopping. All other plans fulfilled, I began my grocery shopping, throwing things in my basket, not really feeling in the mood for choosing things off the shelf.
I came across a bag of avocados and Mika and I decided to split them, along with the bag of capsicum. There was more than enough for both families.
In the last aisle, we came across a specials basket. "Wow Mika, look at that, caviar for $10.00, half price! The little cube container said in large bold print, "Caviar." Mika was skeptical, "is that real caviar?" Doubt reflected in her voice. Thats what the container said. I was convinced, but Mika not so much. It seemed too cheap for her. I had no idea really, never having eaten it before, that I could remember, let alone buy it! We bought the caviar and decided to have it with cheese and biscuits and a glass of wine that night.
I popped into Mika's that evening, looking forward to trying the caviar, but Mika's suspicions and intuition was correct! It was not real caviar but caviar night cream!! A cosmetic!! How disappointing!! We laughed at ourselves remembering our discussion about buying it and Mika's question, "is that real Caviar?" and me replying, "that is what the packaging says."
