フルネームは、きゃろらいんちゃろんぷろっぷきゃりーぱみゅぱみゅ。高校を卒業した2011年、夏にワーナーミュージックから、中田ヤスタカ（CAPSULE）プロデュースによるミニアルバム「もしもし原宿」（8/17発売）でメジャーデビュー。さらに同ミニアルバムは世界23カ国で同時配信され世界デビューも果たし、各国で話題に。リードトラック「PONPONPON」のミュージックビデオは動画配信サイトで、あっという間に再生回数2700万回を記録。昨年５月に発売した初のフルアルバム「ぱみゅぱみゅレボリューション」は、オリコンデイリーチャート初登場１位、さらにiTunesでも日本総合チャートや世界各国のエレクトロチャートで１位を獲得。そのかわいい容姿からは想像がつかないほど自由奔放で、オリジナリティ溢れる表現でファンを魅了し続けている。2012年11月には自身初となる日本武道館公演を開催。2013年には、ワールドツアーを８カ国１３都市で開催し、公演を全て大成功させる。そして2013年６月、満を持して発表したセカンドアルバム「なんだこれくしょん」は、オリコンウィークリーチャート初登場１位。アーティスト活動とファッション面での活動を掛け合わせた、『HARAJUKU』のアイコンとしての存在が、今、全世界から注目を集める。
Full name is “Caroline Charonplop Kyary pamyu pamyu”. Right after graduating from high school in 2011, Kyary pamyu pamyu made her major label debut by releasing ”MOSHI MOSHI HARAJUKU”(Hello, Harajuku) --her first album produced by Yasutaka Nakata (CAPSULE) from WARNER MUSIC JAPAN. ”MOSHI MOSHI HARAJUKU” was distributed on the internet in 23 countries worldwide, accomplishing her world debut. The music video for her leading single “PONPONPON” instantly got 2.7 million views on a streaming website. Kyary's first full-length album "PAMYU PAMYU REVOLUTION" (released in May 2012) debuted at No.1 on the Oricon Daily Chart. It also topped the Japan iTunes chart and many other dance charts worldwide. Kyary continues to fascinate her fans with her utterly uninhibited way of expression that is unimaginable for her sweet doll-like looks. She finished her first Nippon Budokan headline show in November 2012 and 8-county, 13-city world tour in early 2013. Her long-awaited sophomore album "Nanda Collection" landed at No.1 on the Oricon Weekly Chart in its first week in June 2013. With a combination of model and artist, she is Harajuku’s iconic existence that the world must watch.
