「自分らしく」とか「本当の自分」とか、、、。
よく耳にするし、よく使う言い回しかと思う。
でも、本当のところ、どういう事なのかって考えると、
ちょと戸惑ったりする。
結局のところ、「自分らしく」生きるとか、「本当の自分」にとって大切な事とかって考えだすと、自然と究極の問いにぶつかる、、、。「自分とは何なのか？」
世の中を取り巻くいろいろな価値基準や固定観念から見た「自分」ではなく、何事にもとらわれない、「本来の自分」とは一体何なのか、、、。
この自問自答が、いわゆる、スピリチュアリティーに結びついていくんだと思う。
自分は、肉体を持ったスピリットという存在。
そして、肉体は滅んでも、スピリットは存在し続ける。
だから、自分という存在の本質は、スピリット。
自分の肉体が、両親から生み出されたように、自分というスピリットも、何かから生まれ出たはず、、、。
だって、自分で自分を生み出した訳ではないから、、、。
突き詰めると、全ての生命体は、または、全てのスピリットは、いわゆる、「源」から生み出されたことになる。
そして、この「源」を「神」とも呼ぶっていうことかな。
"One's Original Self" and/or "One's True Self" . . ..
These are pretty common phrases we often hear from others and use ourselves.
But, when we seriously consider what such phrases mean, we feel hesitant to define them.
After all, when we start thinking about living life as our "Original Self," and/or what is important for our "True Self," naturally, we end up facing this fundamental question:
"Who am I?"
Not by a variety of societal values or established perceptioins in the world, but by a free, non-biased, and authentic point of view, "What does our Real Self mean?"
This self-inquiry ultimately seems to lead to a so-called spirituality.
We are spirits, having physical bodies.
And, after our bodies decease, our spirits still exist.
Therefore, our Real Essence as existence is Spirit.
Just as we were born from our parents, our spirits must have originated from something . . ..
Since we did not create ourselves physically or spiritually . . ..
Ultimately, All Life, and/or All Spirit comes from a so-called "Source."
And, we also call this "Source" "God."
