Asked why Trader Joe's chose Naples for its first store in the Sunshine State, spokeswoman Alison Mochizuki said: "It's a really wonderful community for us to be a part of."
Trader Joe's will continue to interview for the store's opening crew through Wednesday, Jan. 18. Saturday, Jan. 14, at the store in the Granada Shoppes, deutschland trikot Mochizuki said.
She wouldn't say how many workers the store will employ.
Trader Joe's, headquartered in Monrovia, Calif., has more than 365 stores in more than 30 states. Store employees wear Hawaiianthemed shirts, as "traders on the culinary seas."
The grocery chain carries the basics, along with exotic foods. Most of the store's groceries about 80 percent are sold under the dfb trikot Trader Joe's name. Some of the more popular items include a roasted seaweed snack, a truffle mousse pate made out of chicken and a frozen, readytoeat mandarin orange chicken dinner.
The company will celebrate the Feb. 10 opening with a ceremonial lei cutting to welcome new customers. Trader Joe's Captain (store manager) Bernadette Pauls, regional Vice President Kent Smathers and employees will be on hand.
Pauls, who has been with the company for more than 10 years, comes to the Naples store from Trader Joe's in Chicago.
Trader Joe's stock a variety of domestic and imported foods and beverages including fresh baked artisan breads, Arabica bean coffees, international frozen entres, 100 percent juices, fresh crop nuts, deli items, and vitamins and supplements, as well as the basics, such as milk and eggs.
It is not so much the quantity of the fu?balltrikots parking at this location that is the problem. The configuration of the lot is horrible. The few spaces directly in front are very tight together with very little room to maneuver. The main access to the lot is a single, onelane break on the north side in a 4 way intersection with traffic coming directly off of 41. Just wait till it opens and you will likely see cars backed up on 41 trying to get into the lot. And the lot itself will be jammed with Snowbirds playing bumper cars.
