JR kisuki line is a part of JR West. Local train is operated in the section between Shinji Station and Bingoochiai Station. The total distance of this route is 81.9km and very mountaneous, it needs appoximately 200minutes to complete. There are 26 tunnels in this route.

 

 The following stations belong to this line. Each stations have nickname that results from nihonmythology. Some unexploered stations are included.

  1. Shinji : altitude 5m, connects to Sanin Line

3. Kamonaka (Kotosironusinomikoto)
4. Hataya (Ooharaguuke)
5. Izumodaito (Kamuatatsuimenomikoto)
6. Minamidaito (Sasenokamikazari)
7. Kisuki (Yawatanoorochi)
       Around first week of April, we can see cherry blossoms along this line. Especially, there are cherry blossom pavement
selected in 100 view points of cherry blossom in Japan near kisuki station.

 4〜10 Diesel trains are operated every day. There are more operations between Shinji and Kisuki, but few between Kisuki and Bingoochiai. In winter season, operation often suspend because of lots of snow.
 
At present, sightseeing train 'Ametuchi' is operated between Yasuki station and Izumoyokota station. In this train, Bento and jerry using native food are served (need reservation)
