Edo In Tokyo

Tokyo Life

When people think about Tokyo, most of us use to picture in our mind the big city, full of  neon, lights and modern buildings. A city that never stops, we could say.
And that, I think, is totally true... I mean, everybody has seen Tokyo, whether in movies or futuristic anime series showing that side of this place.
But there is also another side, the side of Tokyo that looks more like a small town, plenty of quiet neighbourhoods and local shops.
The second day after I arrived to Tokyo, I met my friend, Kyoko, who is also hosting me in her place, near Kunitachi Station, west of Tokyo.
Well, we met near her workplace and we had a walk and lunch in one of these neighbourhoods I was talking about. It was a nice experience, I got to the place by myself without getting lost, what it's actually likely to happen to newcomers.
The way back went with no problem, she drove me home and everything fine. 🙆

Most of the streets in Tokyo are very narrow. I have to pay special attention to traffic conditions 👂👀 By the way, cars are driven left side here 😆🚗⬅

We got Takoyaki (たこ焼き) for lunch.

Takoyaki are small balls of dough filled with octopus 🐙

This neighbourhood, Setagaya,  is also home of a temple.

See you next time!! 🙆
