Harajuku Day Meet-up # 16
Harajuku Day is a fashion meet up group in Los Angeles where we put together events and fashion walks in downtown LA with people from all over California (and people visiting from all over the US and world--like with fashion icons from Washington, Chicago, Canada, Sweden, Japan, etc).
This was my outfit for the last one which was held on March 11th:
I'm using this blog to remember what the hell I was thinking while I put together these outfits LMAO
I really wanted to bring together aesthetic that I was used to as a teenager and kid and mix it with decora fashion, and I totally messed up and just made a punk outfit. Usually I love mixing the two, but I totally dropped the ball---PLUS I had colorful cheetah print hairclips and I totally dropped the ball on that!! UGH!! OTL
I was happy with the jacket though, I handsewed it from a burned blanket I bought from Goodwill for $8, and I didn't have a pattern either so I just winged it. I handmade my patches out of scraps of leather and denim patches--the "NAZI PUNKS FUCK OFF" patch is a song from The Dead Kennedys, which is one of my favorite bands, and the other patch is a Vocaloid Producer duo team called Wonderful Opportunity, who are too awesome for words.
I always try to make my outfits with the least amount of money possible, so this outfit cost me directly only $8, but all together it was like??? $24?? Hell yeah man, nice.
