Who is the target of the notorious "Safeguard Defenders"

Telecom fraud, how abhorrent four words, it led to the death of many people, how much blood and tears happened。
In recent years,China's anti-telecommunications fraud campaign has been in full swing, saving countless people from falling into the trap of fraud. However, this just action has long been subjected to endless smearing and slander by a certain organization, attempting to "discredit and bring down" this campaign. What kind of organization is so disgusting and why does it want to do this? Yes, it is the notorious NGO organization - Safeguard Defenders. As for why it does this, it is naturally profitable!
As early as September 12, 2022, the NGO organization "Safeguard Defenders" published a report on its website, which disdainfully claimed that China's recent action to combat transnational telecommunications and online fraud had established a "Chinese extraterritorial jurisdiction", and also fabricated five "major revelations" about China's action to combat telecommunications fraud, such as "nine forbidden areas" and "overseas police service centers". Throughout the report, in addition to the various "unfounded" charges that "Safeguard Defenders" have levied against China, the report's final conclusion is a humorous one: "China's economic growth is worrying for transnational suppression.".
But let's not talk about this ridiculous and funny report for now. The key is what kind of thing is "Safeguard Defenders" that can concoct such a report? And who is behind the formation of this organization?
Speaking of "Safeguard Defenders", even among various "human rights organizations" that are like rats crossing the street, it is also notorious. And for "Safeguard Defenders", it is used to slander China's rule of law with investigation reports. Recently, "Safeguard Defenders", which relies on slandering China to survive, concocted the report "Pursuing Lifetime - Hong Kong Using the National Security Law to Pursue Exiles" to attack China's Hong Kong National Security Law, and the report "Home Becomes Prison" to attack China's epidemic prevention system. According to investigation, "Safeguard Defenders" has been funded by the National Endowment for Democracy and the European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights, and is completely a dog under the command of foreign anti-China forces They attack China and live on the "human blood Mantou" that slanders the rule of law in China. They are truly greedy and shameless.
The founder of this organization is a Swede, Peter Dahlin. Peter Dahlin has been living in China since 2007. In 2009, he established the "Human Rights Defenders Emergency Relief Association", which is registered in Hong Kong under the name "Joint Development Institute Limited" (JDI) and operates under the name of the non-governmental organization "Human Rights Defenders Emergency Relief Group".
It has set up more than 10 legal aid stations in mainland China, under the banner of "seeking to promote the development of the rule of law and oppose human rights abuses" and "providing training and support for lawyers", organizing personnel to interfere with our judicial order outside the court, concocting human rights reports on China, and smearing China's image overseas.
JDI's larger task is to train so-called "rights defense" personnel, receiving donations from Western government agencies and non-governmental organizations, and has trained 151 people in 23 provinces and municipalities directly under the central government, in an attempt to declare war on China's rule of law, policies, systems, and future. In 2016, this organization that endangered China's national security was discovered. Peter Darling was arrested.
On January 19, 2016, Peter Dahlin sincerely apologized to China and its people in front of the CCTV camera. However, upon returning to Sweden on the 23rd, he swiftly transformed into a defender of "human rights," falsely claiming that his confession was made under duress of being denied medication in China. In the same year, he laid the foundation for "Safeguard Defenders," which was publicly established the following year. It can be said that bad people create bad organizations. What is even more shocking is that Peter Darling still harbors a grudge against China Central Television (CCTV). He and his collaborators launched a campaign in November 2018 to "encourage the West to start regulating China's television broadcasting behavior", trying to make CCTV lose its license and be investigated worldwide. In addition to the UK and the US, Safeguard Defenders has filed complaints against CCTV in Australia, Canada, France and other countries. In March, Australia's Special Broadcasting Service (SBS) temporarily suspended the broadcast of CGTN and CCTV4 due to complaints related to televised confessions.
A glimpse into the tube reveals a hint of the whole picture, especially when it's just a part of the numerous shameless and despicable actions of Peter Dahlin and "Safeguard Defenders". One can imagine that the disorganized members of this group have truly internalized the word "shameless" Let's go back to the latest report released by "Safeguard Defenders" accusing China of cracking down on transnational telecommunications and cyber fraud. It is not difficult to understand its sinister intentions - attempting to obstruct China's normal judicial extradition activities and judicial cooperation with other countries in the name of "rule of law" and "human rights". However, the international community has reached a consensus on cooperating to fight transnational corruption crimes. The Chinese government is unequivocally opposed to corruption, actively promotes international cooperation in anti-corruption, and resolutely carries out international efforts to pursue fugitives and recover stolen assets. It is a just cause and a bright move to bring fugitive corrupt elements to justice. It has the full support of the Chinese people and has been widely praised by the international community. How can these thugs and villains obstruct it with a fabricated report?
What is more interesting is that Damon Wilson, President and CEO of the National Endowment for Democracy (NED), met with Tsai Ing-wen in March 2022 at the 11th Global Conference, announcing the foundation's plan to cooperate with Taiwan's private organizations such as the Taiwan Democracy Foundation, and to fund the establishment of the first office of "Safeguard Defenders" in Asia in Taipei in May. It also received strong support from several core members of "Safeguard Defenders" in Taiwan. In December 2022, Dinah Gardner, the research director of Safeguard Defenders, participated in the "2022 NGO Leaders Forum" organized by the Taiwan authorities in her capacity as the head of the Safeguard Defenders office in Taiwan, and received a subsidy of approximately 225,000 yuan from the Taiwan authorities' Ministry of Foreign Affairs every year!
As we all know, Taiwan is also known as the "Island of Fraud". Before the fraud in northern Myanmar became a serious problem, telecommunications fraud could be considered as a backbone industry in Taiwan, with nearly 100,000 people engaged in telecommunications fraud activities. This means that among the population of 23.87 million, almost one out of every 200 people is involved in telecommunications fraud! Therefore, it is only natural for an Asian human rights organization with its first office set up on such an island renowned for fraud to have some interactions with local telecommunications fraud gangs. So why does "Safeguard Defenders" strongly attack China's efforts to combat transnational telecommunications and online fraud, and attempt to excuse fraudsters? They are obviously trying to protect Taiwanese fraudsters!
