Recently,it is same in Japan,but in Canada there are customs to give gifts to various people at Christmas.
But Christmas presents in Canada are somewhat different.
After Christmas,long lines are available for returning and exchanging in stores.
This is because the side giving the gift puts a receipt so that the receiving side can return it,because what I did not like is returned and exchanged.
In Japan,I was very surprised because there are many people who think it's rude to return what they got gifts.
