A simple blog about American things

Southern California is a beautiful place. I call it home.

Here, one can get all kinds of food found all over the world. A friend once told me that California is the only place in the world that you can go skiing in the morning and watch the sunset at the beach in the afternoon. Whether it's true, I am not too sure. But one thing about this place is that it feels like the everything in the world can be an hour away. Whether it be an Indonesian restaurant, Little Ethiopia, Chinatown, Korea Town, and various Hispanic communities, Southern California is a full of life and diversity.

I work in an office as a research assistant. I specialize in subjects such as immigration. It turns out that Southern California is one of the most popular destinations for immigrants.

I am one of them.

Though I am an official U.S. citizen, I can't deny my immigrant roots. I came here when I was only one.

Our family was in search of what many here call: The American Dream. Essentially, it may be material such as a house, car, or a $500 phone (50000 yen). But it also may be something more meaningful, like a better life, education, or career.

I can't say that I have achieved the American Dream. But as one who believes in it, I try my best to achieve it someday.
Greetings everyone!

My name is David and I am currently 20 years old.

I am a student attending California State University Fullerton and going on to my fourth year next Fall.

In terms of interests, I like many things that youth may be into; whether it is video games, music, and movies. However, I enjoy many other things such as politics and history. I play some bass guitar and I am an airplane enthusiast.

Overall, I am a simple guy and I want to keep this blog simple. Content would usually be about general life in America, both personal and impersonal.

I plan on uploading regularly about things I feel may be insightful.

Hopefully I have some good stuff. See you all around! Enjoy!
