Today, we will look at some phrases to praise someone.

今日は、人を賞賛するフレーズを見てみましょう。

To keep your conversation going and to have more lively conversation, compliment will work.

会話を続ける為に、もっと生き生きした会話をする為に、ほめ言葉は欠かせません。

Here are some short phrases of expressions of admiration.

ここに、賞賛の気持ちを表す短いフレーズがあります。

That's great.　＝　How nice. それは良かったね。

That's something.＝That's quite an achievement.

それは素晴らしいね。

Good for you. 良いことだね。

Glad to hear that. 　＝　Happy to know that.

（それを知って私は嬉しい。つまり、「それは何より」）

I'm proud of you. 私も鼻が高いわ。

You should be proud of yourself. 自慢して良いわよ！

You are really something. たいしたやつだ！（something＝何か。つまり、大した人物だという意味です♪）

Good job. よくやった。

Wonderful! Excellent! 　すごい！

Way to go. その調子。

You look nice. 素敵ね。（服などをほめるとき）

It looks nice on you. 似合ってるよ。

I like your suit. そのスーツいいね。

（like 好きを使って、相手をほめることがよくあります＾－＾）

Ways to ask someone to repeat. 英語で聞き返す方法＾－＾

Hello everyone.　(*^▽^*)　みなさんこんにちは。

How are you doing today? ごきげんいかがですか？

Me? I Can't be better. 私はとても良い気分です。

Today, we will look at some ways to ask someone to repeat what they just said.
今日は、人に今言った事をもう一度言ってもらえるようお願いする英語を見てみましょう。

Here are some phrases that can be used when you didn't hear what someone said.

ここにいくつかの、あなたが人の言ったことが聞き取れなかった時に言うフレーズがあります。

Sorry? 今なんて？ （とてもよく使う言葉。カジュアルと丁寧の間ぐらい。）

What? なんて？ （会話でよく使いますが、丁寧ではないです。）

Pardon? なんて言いました？ （アメリカよりも、ＵＫやカナダでよく使われます）

What did you say? 　なんて言いました？

I didn't get it. わかりませんでした。

I don't follow you. おっしゃることが分かりません。。。。＞＜

What do you mean by that? それはどういういみですか？

Would you say that again? 済みませんがもう一度お願いします。

Could you repeat the last word again?

最後の言葉をもう一度言って頂けますか？

What does it say? それは何とかいてあるのですか？

What does it stand for? それは何の略ですか？

Did I make sense?

意味が通じてましたか？（自分がちゃんと正しくはなせていたかどうか確認したい）

So what? だから何？（けんか腰に）

What for? 何のために？

Do you know her sister MOMO? 彼女の妹のモモを知ってる？

Do I know what? 私が何をしってるかって？

They are necessary to show that you're listening attentively to the other person.

それは、話の相手に、あなたが話をとても熱心に聞いている事を示す為に必用な事です。

Besides, they will work to make your conversation longer and more lively.
さらに、それはあなたの会話を長くて生き生きした物にするのに効果的です。

Here are some examples.

ここにいくつかの例があります。

Yes. はい

Uh-huh. へー（音だけで相づち）

I see. なるほど。

I agree. 同感です。

Me too. 私もです。

I bet. きっとそうだよ。

I got it. なるほど。分かった。（カジュアルな言い方）

Right. そうだね。

That's right.　その通りだね。

That's good. 　それはいいですねー。

That's wonderful. それはすばらしいですね。

That's incredible.　それは信じられない！

Really?　本当？

Is that right?　本当に？

Are you serious? 本気？本当？

You're kidding.　冗談でしょう！
No kidding？　それ本当に？

（You are not kiddinｇ, are you? 冗談を言ってないよね？　の略です。短い方が言う方も聞く方も楽ですね＾－＾）

That's funny.　それはおもしろいですね。

(EX.)　例

You see ? 分かった？

I got it.　分かったよ。

This diamond, is it real? このダイヤモンドだけど、本物かな？

I bet. 　そう思うよ。

Jack has just married Mary！

ジャックがメアリーとついこの間結婚したんだって。

Have you ever drunk Amazake? 甘酒を飲んだことありますか？

Amazake is a traditional sweet, low-alcoholic Japanese drink made from fermented rice.

甘酒は日本の伝統的な飲み物で、甘くてアルコールが低く、発酵したお酒でできています。

I drink it on a cold night. 私はそれを寒い夜に飲みます。 

It will warm you up.　体を温めてくれますよ♪(^O^)/

One of my friends told me that Amazake worked well to cure hungover.

友人によると、甘酒は二日酔いに聞くそうです。

Today, Let's look at how to ask somebody the way of changing trains.

今日は、電車の乗り換えについて人に尋ねる方法を見てみましょう。

On the train.... 電車の中で。。。。。

この電車はマンハッタンに停まりますか？

The second stop. ２駅目です。

Ａｆｔｅｒ the next stop. 次の次の駅です。

（○番目の言い方に慣れておけるといいですね♪

1 first/ 2 second/ 3 third/ 4 fourth/ 5 fifth/ 6 sixth/ 7 seventh/ 8 eighth/ 9 ninth 10 tenth）

ニューヨークまで何駅ありますか？
