Thank you for visiting my blog.
By way of introduction, this is David (obviously this is a nick name on this blog and I am a Japanese) working with Japanese general trading house, so-called 総合商社.
I have been engaged in the power projects since 2012and am now staying abroad for the development of a power project.
The purpose of thjs blog is, it's a pretty personal but, 1) to keep the rhythm of my daily life, 2) to keep my memory clear and 3) to make sure I am not wasting time everyday i.e. to make sure things are going as scheduled.
Anyway, it's a bit boring blog but I hope this blog can be of your help.
Today's topic is my future plan for the next 10 years. (I am now 25 so this is a plan until I become 35.)
My short term(1 year), Mid term(5 year) and Long term goals are respectively as follows:
Short Term:
- To win the bid i.e. get the right to develop a new project, achieve the financial close
(which I am trying to do now)
- Through such experience, 1) to acquire the skill to negotiate with the international investors/lawyers/banks and 2) to understand the structure of financial model and the project finance clearly and 3) to get knowledge of Tax and accounting.
Mid Term:
- To be seconded to the project company and manage the company for 3 years as one of the managers
- To apply for MBA course of Stanford University
Long term:
- After coming back from MBA, I will establish my own company somewhere in this world and start up the business.
Well, it seems a bit big dream but this is my goal anyways.
I will upload my daily life here, letting you know my mistakes, plans and maybe sometimes success as well and keep you updated.
