Hey all, Dan here.
I started up this blog in order to improve my Japanese (I'm pretty bad at essay writing at uni). Also, I was too lazy to buy a diary. I actually think that writing entries online will be easier than writing it in a personal diary that nobody reads but me. Yeah, I'm lazy that way.
I'm a 19 year old university student from Australia. I actually started (officially) learning Japanese at uni this year! Before this, I had just picked up words from anime (I'm pretty sure everyone starts this way) and self-study. As you can see, my Japanese is pretty terrible at this point, but I'll work hard!
Therefore, I'll be including these English explanations here until I'll no longer need them one day to get my points across in Japanese -- if that day ever comes.
I'm also taking the JLPT N4 on December 7th. There's only 10 days and I don't know like all the kanji still. Well, I'll probably get through it somehow. I actually just finished one of the practice papers and scored 91/97, with the majority of the mistakes being silly/accidental ones! But, not knowing my kanji is nothing to brag about, haha! Anyways, hopefully I can study hard over the next few days since I'm on break from uni now... though I do have plans to go out.
Wow, there's so much I couldn't express in Japanese at this point in time (express without spending like a minute thinking up the correct grammatical way to structure the sentence, anyways...). If I keep this blog up and keep learning Japanese in the future, I'd like to come back to this page one day and reflect on how bad I was, haha!
